The Sole AS company was founded in 1971, by Thor Sondre Frølich Braathen. The 100% family owned company is now managed by his son Thor Reidar Frølich Braathen.
After a very humble start in the basement of a barn in 1972 the steady increase in both demand for the company products and the demand for continuous research and development. Sole now inhabits 10000 m2 of efficient facilities, with a revenue of 250 MNOK in 2022.
Recent development has also led to expansion into other markets where the technology from manufacturing water heater equipment is transferable.
It is safe to say that we, here at Sole, look bright at the future.

First industrial producion
Sole started the first industrial production in a barn at the Sole farm in 1948.1960
